A great group from Maldon, we dodged the rain, eat your heart out Carol. The food was really good, many thanks to all the staff, especially the chef.

NTP for the Maldon seniors on the 11th hole was won by  Trevor Woolman. NTP for the Essex guys on the 7th hole was won by Roger Farson. 

The overall score was a narrow victory for the Essex team 4.5 - 3.5. Well done to all my team members. Beware they will seek revenge in Sept. when we play them at Maldon.

Before we all set off on our journeys home we all wished Ray Mabbutt a happy birthday for tomorrow when he will leave his 70s.

Our ex captain Cliff won the scratch card comp. he kindly donated 50% of his winning to our charity. This means with his contribution and those of all the other seniors we made £35 today to this great cause. Many thanks.
