Today the Essex Seniors played there home friendly against Brentwood.

At the start it looked like the day was going to be wet and windy but it was not in fact the weather was great as the company who played today.

We all set off on our selected tee times from 1st and 10th. The greens are slowly recovering their playability so thankyou to the green staff for all their hard work in maintaining the country course at the Essex.

After all were back and had a drink we ascended to the flight suite for our meal which chicken wrapped in bacon and lots of veg followed by cheesecake and it was a great meal so many thanks to the staff for the meal and their service whilst we were at the Essex.

Once the meal was finished we began the presentation of the nearest of the pins, firstly Brentwoods on the 5th hole was won by a jovial senior

Now for the result from todays friendly, as most of you can remember at Brentwood the Essex lost five and half to two and a half so a lot to turn it around was needed.

So what happened today, well the result did go in favour of the Essex but was it enough. The result today was five and a half to the Essex two and a half to Brentwood, so a greatvwin for the Essex today and on overall score was a draw.

It was a great day with great company.
