Today the Essex Seniors played a friendly match against Maldon Seniors. Having played home and away previously there were  some familiar faces on both teams, but also some newcomers too.

After the recent course work on the greens, it was good to see things back to normal - any poor putts were more 'operator error' than down to the ground.

The Maldon guys really are a decent friendly bunch, and the contest ended up being very tight in all 8 matches. Most were only settled on last couple of holes, in fact honours were even going into the final 4-ball returning to the club house.

The final result was Essex 3.5, Maldon 4.5 and congratulations to our visitors.

The winner of the Scratch card raising funds for Dementia UK  was our own

Colin Davies -being the gentleman that he is, he donated his winnings back to the charity.

We had an Absolutely delicious meal of Turkey, leek and ham pie with vegetables and this was followed by Rhubarb crumble and custard. a collection was made and given to the food & beverage team to say an extra thanks.

We also have a picture of both teams together, after a thoroughly enjoyable day with good company.
