Today the Essex Seniors played a friendly match away to Maldon Seniors.

After a warm welcome from the guys at Maldon and tea's and coffee, we made our way to four different tee boxes to head out. This was a great idea, as it meant both teams finished at a similar time.

What a lovely course Maldon is with its 9 Holes and two tee boxes on each.

So onto the results and firstly Nearest the Pin was won for the Essex Roy Raison and Mike Grimstead for Maldon, both picking up their prize - enjoy your bottles of wine chaps.

As i sent out updated start sheet  yesterday, i said to the Essex Seniors that i was looking forward to seeing a winning team. Unfortunately they were in the blue of Maldon and not the red of the Essex Seniors, it was 5.5 to 2.5 (an aggregate of 10 to 6 over two legs).

Never mind, we had a lovely round and a very tasty lunch afterwards and friendly company.
