Senior's Charity Day (Members & Guests Day)

Wednesday 15th October 2025, Yellow & Red Tees, County Course

Today we saw the second Essex Seniors Charity day, raising funds and todays was for Dementia UK. We were ably supported by BMW (Seniors Sponsor) who brought a car along plus added an auction prize of a weekend use of a BMW with insurance.

76 golfers took part with a shotgun start, with further guests sitting down for the excellent post game dinner & auction.

Our famous Chipping and putting challenges were back, a Beat the Pro(well Simon Larking new Senior) on the 5th and a number of other prizes. It was a pairs competition, but also featured Best Female score front Nine and best Male score Back Nine.

We have raised £3850 on the day, which couldn't have been done without the terrific support of so many people.

Onto to the winners and the nearest the pin on the 11th was

Brenda Reeve.

Nearest the line on the 8th was

Gary Lunn.

Best Female on front Nine was

Kellie Spencer-Whitcomb.

Best Male score on back nine and he is leaving us soon for Sussex was

Tony Ferris.

In Chipping into the washing machine it was

Justin Martin.

This was the putting course today

Now the putting went into a playoff between

Danny Milne, Craig Fletcher and David Adams

the winner was

In second place again on count back of 48 points
