Ladies play from Red Tees

 A Ryder Cup style team competition for the glory of your nation.

Better-ball matchplay. Competition open to ladies and gentlemen

Played from the Men’s stroke index. Ladies receive 4 adjustment shots for handicap

Then, 90% difference handicap taken from the lowest handicap player

Balanced number of players per team required – some may have to represent their

opponents to balance the match.

Tee times and Pairing will be allocated on the day.

We are playing for the trophy English and Scottish flag.

No prize payouts.

A Ryder Cup style team competition as it was an honorable draw last year and a rematch is the order of the day, with last year’s captains holding their fort’s

The two captains are Richard Earle for the Sassenachs and Paul Beecroft for the Celts .

Entry for this competition commits you to the meal. 'Meal only' option available, contact Gavin Childs to arrange.

The costs will be:-£20 including three course meal, and a contribution to the club charity – EHAA  5 Day members £20 + green fee. Meet on the First Tee at 08:50 beforehand to be assigned to a team & pay entry fee ready for 1st tee time of 09.16.

The meal will be served at approx. 15.00. and will include the traditional addressing of the Haggis by one of our Celtic Members.

Starter

Scotch broth is a filling soup, originating in Scotland but now obtainable worldwide. The principal ingredients are usually barley, stewing or braising cuts of lamb, mutton or beef, root vegetables, and dried pulses

Haggis, Neeps and Tatties, with a whisky cream sauce

A Scotch pie or mutton pie is a small, double-crust meat pie filled with minced mutton

with potato, cabbage and cheese gratin and served with roasted swede
