Easter Monday Bank Holiday Social - Shamble Rules

Rules:
85% Course Handicap Allowance slope rating of the Yellow Tees for Gents and Red Tees for Ladies - 4 tee shots required from each player.
Format:
Shamble Format with a team of 4 players – all players tee off each hole and then the team selects the best drive (like a scramble) then players play their own ball from that point until they hole out, with the BEST THREE STABLEFORD SCORES TO COUNT
Note: Ball may be placed in closely mown areas within the width of a scorecard, no nearer the hole but must be dropped in other areas i.e. rough, bunker, etc.
Scoring:
Stableford format with best 3 stableford scores to count per hole.
Example of Play:
• On the first hole players A, B, C & D hit their tee shots.
• Player B’s tee shot is selected as it’s in the fairway, so players A, C & D place their ball within a scorecard width of player B’s tee shot making sure it's no nearer the hole
• Each player then plays their next shot and continue to play their own ball until they hole out to achieve a stableford score.
Total up your score at the end of the round, sign the card and hand it to the committee member handling scoring on the day - who may well be found either on the Tipsy Terrace or in the Golf Bar.
The Team with the highest stableford score wins.
Prizes for Best Men's team, Best Mixed Team, Nearest the Pin and Guess the Location on the Green competition.
