This competition was started in Gavin Child's Captains year with John Booth at Hintlesham. John used to be a member at The Essex and donated the trophy in memory of his parents. In 2023 it was agreed to host both home and away legs.

The first leg is the away match at Hintlesham Golf Club - a mixed pairs social competition open to Seven Day Members - played on their 18-hole Course - Men playing from the yellow tees and Ladies from the red tees - 100% handicap allowance.

First tee time is at 9:40 am - it is suggested to arrive at 9:00 am for the meet and greet or earlier if you're looking to enjoy breakfast beforehand.

This is traditionally a team 4BBB Mixed Pairs cumulative stableford team scoring with both clubs competing for the honour of holding the Trophy - there will be Nearest the Pins on 5th and 11th holes TO BE CONFIRMED.

There will be a two-course meal following golf: TBC - £TBCeach (£TBCper couple) - please let Debbie Baker know if anyone has any dietary requirements.

All players to pay directly to reception when they arrive TBC

Anyone playing will be assumed to be joining in the meal - payment for which should be made on the day in Reception on arrival - CARD PAYMENTS ONLY PLEASE. TBC
