A mixed social golf competition played on the front 9-holes of the County Course - Men off Yellow Tees and Ladies off Red Tees. Two person Teams with Men's and Ladies Longest Drives. Prepared Scorecards and a startsheet will be available at the Starter's Hut.

Once we finish we will have the presentation and a meal from the selected country. This Round is Italian themed and there will be a meal from the Selected country served in the Trophy Bar.

Once players have entered then they must commit to playing - If you can't play you must notify the social committee or The Essex reception no later than 3 days prior to this event. Any "No" Shows will be charged the Entry Fee which is £12. Dietary requirements must be submitted by noon Friday, week before competition.

Greensomes: 

• Teams of 2 Players - Greensomes Stableford Scoring
• Maximum Playing Handicap Allowances: Men 40 - Ladies 54.
• Playing Handicap is 0.6 (60%) of the lower player's handicap and 0.4 (40%) of the higher player's. If both handicaps are the same, combined total is halved.
• Two-player team where each player takes a tee shot at the start of each hole.
• Select the best of the two drives, then keep playing that remaining ball as a team, alternating each shot.
• The player whose drive is discarded plays the second shot, and the team alternates thereafter.
• When signing up players can add their partner and pay for their competition entries too upon sign-up (guest green fees will need to be made through reception).
• Only one player needs to fill in a  standard Essex scorecard for your team.

Scoring:

• Stableford Scoring - record the score for each hole for each player on the scorecard
• Multiply the two stableford scores together and enter into the total column
• All scorecards must be signed and verified before turning in to the Committee member handling scoring on the day
