Two Person Texas Scramble Format and Rules:
Both players in your team tee off at every hole - After both players have teed off, the tee shot that is deemed to be the best is used on that hole.
Note: Selected shots may be lifted, cleaned and ‘placed’ within 6 inches (width of scorecard) if it is in closely mown areas, i.e. fairway, fringe, tee box. But if selected shot comes to rest in the rough or bunker, player may lift and clean the ball but must ‘drop’ the ball within 6 inches (width of scorecard) so it’s in the same condition.
For each successive shot, select the preferred shot and both players hit from within one width of a scorecard, no nearer the hole under the same noted rules above.
Once on the green, each player may putt from within six inches of the selected ball, no nearer the hole. The first ball in the hole is the scoring ball for the group.
-- Must use a minimum of 3 tee shots from each player.

Maximum Playing Handicap Allowances: Men 40 - Ladies 54
Scoring:
Stroke-play (Medal) record the gross score for each hole on the scorecard under the player who’s tee shot was used. All scorecards must be signed and verified before turning in to the Committee member handling scoring on the day. The team handicap will be deducted from the team gross score.

What a wonderful evening for golf! A great turnout for the second Nine & Dine where players competed in the Texas Scramble and then enjoyed the well received USA themed meal following golf - a big thank you to Lorna and the F&B team!
The course played beautifully with some great scoring - Club Captain Simon Larking was kept busy awarding prizes with Mick Seely, Pat McSweeney & Verity Rosewarne clinching 1st place; Brian & Karen Gowers were 2nd with Jess Leach & Kieran Longman securing 3rd.
Nearest the Pin prizes on the 5th Hole were won by Ange Frankland and Adam Levoi.
Well done to everyone who played, the support for these events is very much appreciated. Don't miss out - make sure to book yourselves in to the next event on Fri 21st July which is Spanish themed.
