Thirteen teams played in the late May Bank Holiday Social in great weather, which threatened at times but managed to not douse the last few teams like the last social.

This was the biggest turnout yet this year, so thank you to everyone for taking part.

Nearest the pin on the 11th for the Gents was won by Trevor Barnett and Bob Long was the nearest for the Juniors. With no Ladies tee shots finding the green a plan had to be devised to find a winner, which ended up being Tierney Clarke - well done guys.

Simon Larkings' final approach to the first was used again and Brian Gowers managed to be in lucky box 34.

• Men's Runner's: Justin Trueman, Brian Gowers, Julian Baines & Malcolm Payne on countback with 95 pts 

A special mention to Drew Swanson, highest scoring Junior who scored an amazing 40 pts on his own ball - superb!

Sandy Whitear, Ron Thayre, Andy Gilman & Keith Hainsworth picked up the impromptu chocolate bars, for giving it their best effort - thank you Keith.
